ডিজিপিকে হলফনামা জমা দিতে নির্দেশ সুপ্রীম কোর্টের
আজ খবর (বাংলা), [রাজ্য] ,নতুন দিল্লী ,ভারত, ০৯/০২/২০২৬ : রাজ্যে ভোটার তালিকায় নিবিড় সংশোধন নিয়ে উল্লেখযোগ্য নির্দেশ দিয়েছে সুপ্রীম কোর্ট। পশ্চিমবঙ্গে নতুন ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশ সাত দিন পিছিয়ে গেলো। সেই সঙ্গে এসআইআর চলাকালীন হিংসার ঘটনায় ডিজিকে হলফনামা দিতে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
নতুন ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশের দিন ধার্য্য করা হয়েছিল ১৪ই ফেব্রুয়ারি। কিন্তু বেশ কিছু জায়গায় শুনানি এখনো চলছে। কাজ বাকিও রয়েছে কিছু জায়গায়। মেটিয়াব্রুজ অঞ্চলে শুনানির কাজ বিস্তর বাকি রয়ে গিয়েছে। দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনার প্রশাসনের তরফ থেকে অনুরোধ করা হয়েছিল যাতে শুনানি করার জন্যে অন্তত আরও সাতদিন সময় দেওয়া হয়। আজ দেশের শীর্ষ আদালত রাজ্যে চূড়ান্ত ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশের দিন নির্দিষ্ট তারিখ থেকে সাতদিন পিছিয়ে দেওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছে। কারণ ভোটার তালিকায় সংযোজন ও বিয়োজন করে চূড়ান্তভাবে তা প্রকাশের জন্যে আরও সাতদিন সময় দরকার বলে মনে করছে শীর্ষ আদালত। সুতরাং নতুন ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশিত হবে আগামী ২১ তারিখে।
শীর্ষ আদালত রাজ্য সরকারকে মঙ্গলবার বিকেল ৫টার মধ্যে ৮,৫০৫ আধিকারিক কর্মীর নামের তালিকা জমা দিতে বলেছে। এই আধিকারিকরা ভোটার তালিকার কাজে সহায়তা করবে, তবে চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত নেবে ERO . রাজ্যে সরকারি ফর্ম সহ অন্যান্য উপকরণ পুড়িয়ে দেওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠলেও পুলিশের তরফ থেকে সেভাবে কোনো ব্যবস্থাগ্রহন করা হয় নি। এই কারনে রাজ্যের আইন শৃঙ্খলার অবনতি হওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠেছিল। আদালত প্রশ্ন করেছে, ব্যবস্থাগ্রহন করা কেন হয় নি ? দেশের শীর্ষ আদালত এই ব্যাপারে রাজ্যের ডিজিপিকে কারণ দর্শানোর নোটিশ জারি করেছে।
Aaj Khabor Desk, New Delhi, India, 09/02/2026 : The Supreme Court has issued significant directions regarding the intensive revision of the voter list in West Bengal. The publication of the final voter list has been postponed by seven days due to pending hearings and unfinished work in several areas, including Metiabruz. The voter list, originally scheduled to be released on February 14, will now be published on February 21.
The apex court observed that additional time is required to properly complete the inclusion and deletion of names before finalizing the voter list. It also directed the West Bengal government to submit, by 5 PM on Tuesday, a list of 8,505 officials who will assist in the voter list revision process, while final decisions will remain with the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs).
Additionally, the Supreme Court expressed concern over allegations of violence and the burning of official forms and materials during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Noting the lack of effective police action and a deterioration in law and order, the court has sought an explanation from the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) and directed the filing of an affidavit on the matter.
