তারিক রহমানের শপথ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানে ওম বিড়লা
আজ খবর (বাংলা) [আন্তর্জাতিক], নারায়ণগঞ্জ, বাংলাদেশ, ১৫/০৬/২০২৬ : নির্বাচনের পরেও হিংসা অব্যাহত রইল বাংলাদেশে। আজ বাংলাদেশের নারায়ণগঞ্জে বিএনপির পার্টি অফিসে আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে।
ছাত্র বিদ্রোহের ১৮ মাস পর গত ১২ তারিখে সাধারণ নির্বাচন হয়েছে বাংলাদেশে। ১৩ তারিখে নির্বাচনের ফল ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে, যেখানে বিএনপি জয়লাভ করেছে। এবার সেই বিএনপির দলীয় কার্যালয়েই আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হল। এই ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে নারায়ণ গঞ্জে। আজ ভোর রাতে নারায়ণ গঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জে বিএনপির দলীয় কার্যালয়ে আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে বলে অভিযোগ উঠেছে। বাংলাদেশের পুলিশ জানিয়েছে রূপগঞ্জের শিমুলিয়া বাজার এলাকায় মধ্যরাত্রি ৩:৪৫ মিনিট নাগাদ এই ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
মধ্যরাত্রে কিছু দুষ্কৃতী ঐ পার্টি অফিসের একটি জানার কাঁচ ভেঙে ভিতরে পেট্রল বা ঐ জাতীয় কিছু ঢেলে আগুন লাগিয়ে দিয়েছিল বলে মনে করছে পুলিশ। ইতিমধ্যেই এই ঘটনা নিয়ে তদন্ত শুরু করেছে তারা। দুই জন সন্দেহভাজনকে চিহ্নিত করাও হয়েছে বলে জানা গিয়েছে। গতকাল মধ্যরাত্রি পর্যন্ত বিএনপি নেতারা ঐ দলীয় কার্যালয়ে ছিলেন। তাঁরা চলে যাওয়ার পর এই ঘটনা ঘটেছে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে। আগুন লাগার ফলে দলীয় কার্যালয়ের ভিতরে থাকা আসবাব পত্র ও কাগজ পত্র পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে গিয়েছে। স্থানীয়রাই প্রথমে আগুন নেভানোর কাজে এগিয়ে এসেছিলেন।
এদিকে আগামী ১৭ (মঙ্গলবার) তারিখে বাংলাদেশের নতুন প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে শপথ গ্রহণ করতে চলেছেন বিএনপির সর্বোচ্য নেতা তারিক রহমান। তাঁর শপথ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানে ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীকে আমন্ত্রণ জানানোর কথা ভাবা হয়েছিল। তবে জানা গিয়েছে, যে ভারতকে সেদিন প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবেন ভারতের লোকসভার স্পিকার ওম বিড়লা।
Aaj Khabor Desk, Narayanganj, Bangladesh, 15/06/2026 : Violence has continued in Bangladesh even after the general election. Early this morning, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) office in Rupganj, Narayanganj, was set on fire. According to police, the incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. in the Shimulia Bazar area. Miscreants allegedly broke a window of the party office and poured petrol or a similar substance inside before setting it ablaze.
The fire destroyed furniture and important documents inside the office. Local residents initially helped to extinguish the flames. Police have launched an investigation and have identified two suspects. BNP leaders had reportedly been at the office until midnight, and the attack is believed to have taken place after they left.
The general election was held on the 12th, 18 months after a student uprising, and results announced on the 13th declared the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) as the winner.
Meanwhile, BNP chief Tarique Rahman is scheduled to be sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Bangladesh on the 17th (Tuesday). Although there had been consideration of inviting Narendra Modi to attend the ceremony, it is reported that Om Birla, Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha, will represent India at the event.
