আজ খবর (বাংলা), কলকাতা, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ, ০৭/০২/২০২৬ : আর কিছু সময় পরেই কলকাতার ইডেন গার্ডেনসে টি ২০ ক্রিকেট ম্যাচের আসর বসতে চলেছে। আজ থেকেই শুরু হয়ে যাচ্ছে টি ২০ বিশ্বকাপ খেলা। উত্তেজনার পারদ চড়তে শুরু করবে আজ থেকেই।আজ প্রথমদিনেই ভারত খেলতে নামছে আমেরিকার বিরুদ্ধে , তবে সেই ম্যাচ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে মুম্বইয়ের ওয়াংখেড়ে স্টেডিয়ামে। আজ কলকাতার ইডেন গার্ডেনসে খেলবে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ ও স্কটল্যান্ড। বিশ্বকাপের প্রথম খেলাটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে শ্রীলঙ্কার এসএসসি গ্রাউন্ডে, এখানে আজ পাকিস্তান খেলতে নেমেছিল নেদারল্যান্ডের সাথে।বিশ্বকাপের প্রথম ম্যাচে পাকিস্তান টস জিতে বোলিং নিয়েছিল। নেদারল্যান্ড এক বল বাকি থাকতে সব উইকেট খুইয়ে ১৪৭ রান তুলেছিল। ঐ রান তাড়া করতে গিয়ে পাকিস্তান ৩ বল বাকি থাকতেই ৭ উইকেট হারিয়ে ১৪৮ রান তুলে নেয়। এই ম্যাচে পাকিস্তান ৩ বল বাকি থাকতেই ৩ উইকেটে জয়লাভ করে। পাকিস্তানের সাহেবজাদা ফারহান ৩১ বলে ৪৭ রান তুলেছেন।এরপর আজ ইডেনে খেলতে নামবে ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ ও স্কটল্যান্ড আর মুম্বইতে খেলতে নামবে ভারত ও আমেরিকা ভারতের হয়ে খেলবেন সূর্য কুমার যাদব (অধিনায়ক),সনজু স্যামসং (উইকেট রক্ষক), অক্ষর প্যাটেল (সহ অধিনায়ক), কুলদীপ যাদব, হার্দিক পান্ডিয়া, যশপ্রীত বুমরা, ঈশান কিষান (উইকেট রক্ষক), রিংকু সিং, মোহাম্মদ সিরাজ, ওয়াশিংটন সুন্দর, শিবম দুবে, অভিষেক শর্মা, বরুন চক্রবর্তী, অর্শদীপ সিং, তিলক বর্মা ও হর্ষিত রানা।বিশ্বকাপের টেবিল – গ্রূপ এ – পাকিস্তান, ভারত, নেদারল্যান্ড, নামিবিয়া ও আমেরিকা। গ্রূপ বি – অস্ট্রেলিয়া, আয়ারল্যান্ড, ওমান, শ্রীলঙ্কা , জিম্বাবোয়ে, গ্রূপ সি – ইংল্যান্ড, ইতালি, নেপাল, স্কটল্যান্ড, ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ। গ্রূপ ডি – আফগানিস্তান, কানাডা, নিউজিল্যান্ড, দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা ও সংযুক্ত আরব আমিরশাহী।

Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will host the match between West Indies and Scotland later today, while India will start their campaign against the USA at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
The tournament’s opening match was played at the SSC Ground in Sri Lanka, where Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by three wickets with three balls remaining. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Pakistan restricted the Netherlands to 147 runs, before successfully chasing the target. Sahibzada Farhan starred with the bat, scoring 47 off 31 balls.
India’s squad for the match against the USA includes captain Suryakumar Yadav, vice-captain Axar Patel, Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan as wicketkeepers, along with key players such as Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Rinku Singh, and others.
The teams are divided into four groups: Group A features Pakistan, India, the Netherlands, Namibia, and the USA; Group B includes Australia, Ireland, Oman, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe; Group C consists of England, Italy, Nepal, Scotland, and West Indies; while Group D includes Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UAE.
