Upon his arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, he was given a Guard of Honor. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu personally welcomed him, with Netanyahu greeting Modi with a warm embrace — a gesture seen as symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.
India and Israel share a long-standing friendship and strategic partnership, with cooperation across multiple sectors. During the visit, discussions are expected to focus on mutually beneficial projects and strengthening bilateral relations. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Notably, he will become the first foreign Prime Minister to address the Israeli public with a special speech, following a brief meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
